Is anyone else surprised about Monte Ellis' suspension?

I'm not surprised by the fact that he got suspended(given that he violated a rule in his contract), but he'll be out for 30 games!? Does anyone else think that may be a little overboard? I mean, it's not like what Steven Jackson did when he was with the Pacers & got into trouble for having a gun outside an Indiana strip club, so should the # of games be that high?
