Is this a good gaming computer setup?

I recommend that you build it yourself. That's very similar to my own machine and it's a lot easier than most people imagine. There's lots of how-to videos on youtube and you'll save yourself so much money. Kudos on the Phenom II and the HD 4870. That's what I have in my rig.
